The number of people giving to non-profits and churches online is greater than it's ever been. According to a recent study by Dunham + Company, online donations are up nearly 60%.
The study showed increases in the number of people giving online across many demographics. Most significantly among the Baby Boomer generation(people born from 1946 through 1964). The number of Boomers giving online has grown by 14% in the last two years. Online giving has also increased among females and donors over the age of 65.
With more and more people making donations online, never before has it been so important for non-profits to develop e-philanthropy strategies that optimize their websites for giving.
